A firefighter suffered non-fatal injuries while battling a house fire in Montclair Tuesday.
Early morning fire broke out at a home in the 60's block of Madison Avenue shortly after 12:25 a.m.
Crews arrived at the scene and found fire inside a two-story home.
Fire officials struck a second alarm for manpower after they believed flames began to spread to neighboring homes.
EMS transported a firefighter to an area hospital after he fell through a deck at the home. Officials say he is expected to recover.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
