Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief James Clarke announce that at approximately 10:48 a.m., on Saturday police and fire personnel responded to the Willowbrook Mall in the Township of Wayne, in response to a fire at the Hollister store on the second floor of the mall.
Officials say significant smoke spread to the nearby Bloomingdale’s store, and that wing of the mall was evacuated.
There were no injuries reported.
An investigation was commenced by the Wayne Township Police Department, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department and the Wayne Fire Department.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
