Firefighters in Montclair battled a raging two-alarm fire that tore through a house in the city Thursday night.
According to fire officials, crews were called to the 200 block of Walnut Street just before 5:30 p.m. after received reports of a fire at that location.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and observed a fully involved fire engulfing a wood framed house.
Crews battled heavy flames that exposed from the 2nd floor of the house before they entered the structure and conducted a search for trapped and injured occupants.
One firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries but there were no victims inside the homes according to preliminary reports.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in about an hour. The official cause of the fire remains under investigation.
