Firefighters in Bergen County extinguished a fire that engulfed a truck on an interstate in NJ Thursday morning.
According to authorities, police were called to the southbound lanes of I-287 near mile marker 67 to investigate reports of a vehicle fire at approximately 3:35 a.m.
Units arrived to find the trailer of a truck fully involved in flames according to police.
Officers closed several lanes of the highway to allow crews to knock down the blaze in less than 30-minutes.
Police say the truck was carrying aluminum and are investigating the cause of the fire. There were no injuries immediately reported.
