Firefighters are on the scene of a fire that's destroying a house in Newark this evening.
According to officials, at approximately 4:36 p.m., heavy fire tore through the first floor of a house located at 626 South 20th Street.
When firefighters arrived, they found the multi-family home engulfed in flames with fire tearing through the structure's roof.
Crews were able to get inside the building to check for trapped and injured occupants, but no victims were found.
Fire officials at the scene struck a second alarm after flames began to extend to neighboring homes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
