A fast moving late night fire that destroyed an Elizabeth house has fire officials investigating.
Firefighters were called to the 200 block of Reid Street after receiving reports of fire that ignited a house at around 10 p.m.
Crews arriving at the scene noticed thick smoke and heavy fire coming from the attic of the house and appearing to extend to a neighboring house.
Firefighters were able to gain control of the fire in under an hour with a search of the residence negatively resulting in trapped or injured occupants.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
