Firefighters officials in Essex County are investigating a fire that injured a female in West Orange Monday morning.
The fire broke out at the Rockspring Apartments located at 425 Northfield Avenue around 3 a.m.
Crews arrived at the scene and declared the fire under control but not before locating a female suffering non-fatal injuries inside the apartments.
She was taken to St. Barnabas Burn Centre in Livingston for treatment, and the extent of her injuries has not been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
