Police Newark are reporting the arrest of Ms. Rosamond Bender, 29, of Newark, who was charged with aggravated assault on May 24, 2021.
Officials said Newark Police responded to reports of a stabbing in progress at 6:22 p.m. in the 600 block of Hunterdon Street.
Upon arrival, the victim told officers that Bender stabbed her during a fight and she suffered a facial laceration.
Bender was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
