Jersey City police are currently investigating a pedestrian strike that occurred this morning.
According to police, officers responded to a call for a pedestrian-involved motor vehicle accident.
Police said that it happened at approximately 9:30 a.m., near the intersection of Summit and Hopkins avenues.
According to police officials, upon arrival, officers observed three victims, a father and two children.
Police said that the father refused medical attention on the scene. The two children had no visible injuries, but they were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
According to an initial investigation, it appears that the female driver allegedly struck the victims at a low rate of speed while making a turn onto Summit Avenue, where the pedestrians were crossing the street.
The driver remained on the scene. No criminality is suspected at this time.
