Fatal Warinanco Park Crash Kills Cranford Teen, Injures Another in Roselle

A Tuesday night crash in Warinanco Park killed a 16-year-old boy and injured at least one more person, according to officials.

Police responded to park around 8:30 p.m. last night for a report of a crash with possible entrapments.

Initial investigation reveled that the 2003 Honda CRV struck a utility pole and then a tree, according to officials. 

The unidentified 17-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, but no exact details were released on the driver's injuries.    The passenger - 16-year-old Justin Juzefyk of Cranford was transported to University Hospital in Newark where he succumbed to his injuries around 2:30 this morning. 

The crash remains under investigation. 

The pair was said to be leaving a Cranford-Summit hockey game.
