Police have identified the 76-year-old victim who died in a house fire this week in South Brunswick.
Tuesday night at approximately 11 p.m., fire fighters responded to 2 Cranberry Court for a fast moving fire that is believed to have started in the kitchen, according to officials.
According to officials, after fire was place under control in just under a half hour it was determined that a resident was unaccounted for.
Wednesday morning, authorities discovered Robert Barnitt's body inside the rubble, according to police.
An autopsy determined that Barnitt died from smoke inhalation.
Police said that fire was not suspicious.
