Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting reported early this morning in Plainfield, according to the county prosecutor.
Police were called to the vicinity of the 900 block of Carnegie Avenue in Plainfield to investigate a homicide, Prosecutor's Office spokesman Capt. Vince Gagliardi confirmed Friday morning.
Burke declined to identify the male victim, pending notification to their family.
No additional information was immediately available.
