Authorities in Middlesex County announced that a shooting is under investigation in the City of New Brunswick.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone stated that on March 31, at approximately 6:26 p.m., authorities responded to the area of Lee Avenue and Rutgers Street following a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers located one male victim, who sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Robert Wood Hospital for treatment, MCPO officials say.
According to Middlesex County officials, the victim, a 16-year-old male of New Brunswick, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
