Fatal Shooting in Edison Under Investigation

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Thomas Bryan of
the Edison Police Department announced today that a Keasbey man has been
charged in connection with a homicide that occurred on February 16, 2025.


On February 16, 2025, at 6:39 P.M., authorities responded to Clive Hills
Road following a 911 call from Gregory Ginzburg reporting that Igor Kirilenko was
inside his residence with a firearm.

 Upon their arrival, authorities located two males. Gregory Ginzburg, 72, of Edison, who sustained a fatal gunshot wound and Igor
Kirilenko, 61, of Keasbey, who was unharmed. 

Ginzburg was pronounced deceased
at the scene.
 

Investigation led by Detective Clint Hetzell of the Edison Police Department
and Detective Oliva Ankudowicz of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office
determined that Kirilenko was the perpetrator.
 

On February 17, 2025, Kirilenko was arrested without incident and charged
with first-degree Murder and second-degree Possession of a Firearm for an
Unlawful Purpose. 

Kirilenko is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a Pre-Trial Detention hearing.
