One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a pedestrian strike in the Burlington County town of Medford late Saturday night.
According to police, emergency responders rushed to the 20's block of Branin Road after they received reports of a person down in the roadway around 10:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found the severely injured victim pinned underneath a car at that location.
Police say once the victim was freed from under the vehicle, medics pronounced the person dead at the scene.
The driver of the car that struck the victim remained at the scene.
Offcials say the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office was notified of the incident.
