One person was killed by a vehicle on the Atlantic City Expressway causing police to close all lanes on the highway on Wednesday morning temporarily.
According to police, the incident happened at approximately 1:55 a.m. where officers were dispatched to investigate reports of a person down on the roadway near mile marker 35.3.
Police arrived and found the badly injured victim in the eastbound lanes after a car struck the unidentified person causing fatal injuries.
Authorities detoured all lanes near exit 38 for the investigation.
There were no other injuries reported.
