Police in Plainfield are investigating a crash that killed a man early Tuesday morning.
According to a statement released by Plainfield Police, at approximately 4:51 AM, Units responded to a motor vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and West Fourth Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male from Middlesex suffering life-threatening injuries.
Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Plainfield Police Traffic Unit was notified, responded and is investigating.
