Emergency responders are on the scene of a crash with fatal injuries reported on Route 78 in Union.
The crash happened in the express lanes westbound just east of Exit 49 - (NJ 124/Springfield Ave) in Union Township at around 5:20 a.m. sending police and EMS to the scene according to authorities.
According to preliminary reports, one person was pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were transported to an area hospital suffering various injuries.
Police have the right lane closed, expect delays.
