Ocean County authorities confirmed one person was killed in a crash on a highway in Ocean County on Saturday morning.
The early morning collision happened on NJ-70 near mile marker 35 in Manchester Township around 2:20 a.m.
Police said the emergency responders arrived at the scene and found a vehicle overturned with one trapped inside.
According to police, firefighters extricated the severely injured, unconscious and unresponsive victim from the vehicle a short time later.
Police say they checked for possible ejected victims, but there were no other injuries immediately reported.
The cause of the crash has not been determined.
