NJ State Police are conducting a crash investigation on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge as they attempt to determine what caused the death of one person.
According to authorities, sometime before 2 a.m. Monday emergency responders responded to a two-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway near the Colonia Service Area.
Upon arrival, police found one of the vehicles went into the woods, according to State Police, who did not disclose details about which car the deceased was in.
Officials say two southbound lanes were closed for an investigation during Monday morning commute which created a 10 mile delay.
The lanes have since been reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
