NJ State Police investigators are looking into a crash that left one person dead and two others injured early this morning in Brick.
Emergency responder were called to the Garden State Parkway north at mile-marker 93.7 in Brick Twp., at approximately 2:46 a.m. for a report of a serious crash.
Upon arrival, police determined that a 2013 Kia Optima struck the rear of a dump truck. The unidentified driver of the Kia suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
According to police, the driver and passenger of the dump truck only suffered minor injuries.
The crash caused heavy delays on the highway for almost two hours as authorities conducted a crash investigation.
