A highway in Bergen County was the scene of a tragic incident on Sunday morning after a crash caused fatal injuries.
The New Jersey State Police are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the early morning collision on The Garden State Parkway.
The incident happened shortly before 2:50 a.m. when NJ State Troopers were alerted to a crash near exit 160 in Rochelle Park/Paramus.
Upon reaching the scene, authorities discovered an overturned vehicle with occupants who had been ejected and suffered from severe injuries.
Police closed all lanes on the Garden State Parkway to facilitate the investigation and assist the injured parties.
Tragically, it was confirmed that at least one person had lost their life in the accident.
As the investigation is ongoing, authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
