The families of the East Orange and Elizabeth women killed Friday morning in Clifton have released their identities.
First responders rushed to the westbound side of Rt. 3 near Valley Road in Clifton shortly before 3:15 a.m. where they arrived to find a crashed/overturned vehicle with two 21-year-old women were ejected from the vehicle.
EMS performed CPR on both of the victims at the scene. However, despite emergency crew's efforts both victims - Carlene Maynard and Tashanique Hawkins, both 21 - were pronounced dead.
The crash remain under investigation.
