A 19-year-old Newark man and a 17-year-old were arrested on charges related to an aggravated assault that occurred last night.
According to authorities, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to a dispute in an apartment on Sherman Avenue in the city’s South Ward.
Police said, Harris had a verbal confrontation with another family member which resulted in Harris shooting at that family member resulting in no injuries according to police.
Police later arrested and charged Harris with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Terroristic Threats.
Police also charged the juvenile with hindering once it was discovered that she assisted Harris in fleeing the location after the incident.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
