Police in Fairfield are on the search for a suspect that bailed form a vehicle after a crash that caused the car to overturn then rolled over on a highway Thursday night.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened at around 9:30 p.m. in the 300 block of US-46 where police say the car traveled at a high rate of speed before it crashed then flipped over.
One person was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital suffering serious injuries.
Police searched the area for a 5'8" tall white male who wore a t-shirt when he sprinted away from the severely damaged vehicle.
It is not immediately clear if police were chasing the car during the crash at this time.
The incident remains under investigation by Fairfield Police.
