EVENT: NJ Pilots Talk with Aviation Author in Paterson -- "Missing Malaysia Flight Not Likely A Crime"

Paterson

The disappearance of Malaysia Flight 370 in 2014 was not a case of pilot suicide or a terrorist event, the author of the new book, The Crash Detectives, will tell New Jersey pilots at a dinner in Paterson on Tuesday night.

According to event organizers, the discussion will take place at 7:00pm this evening at The Brownstone, 351 West Broadway, Paterson, NJ.

Journalist and former accident investigator, Christine Negroni is the author of The Crash Detectives, published by Penguin this fall.

In the book, praised by Capt. Chesley Sullenberger and ABC’s Bob Woodruff, Negroni proposed a scenario that is considered highly credible in the industry, but one which discounts the idea that the pilot purposefully took the plane on a flight into the South Indian Ocean organizers said.

Covering the story for ABC News, Negroni detailed the events behind the disappearance of Malaysia Flight 370 while it was on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014.

“Many people still think MH370 is in Diego Garcia or that the pilots or someone else hijacked the plane, but there's more science and logic indicating something less malevolent took place in the cockpit,” Ms. Negroni said.

She will be presenting her theory to the annual holiday dinner of The Ninety-Nines a worldwide association of women pilots whose charter membership included Amelia Earhart.
