Two Essex County men were charged with arson after trying to set their hotel room on fire in Bergen County, according to police.
The men, later identified as Milton Hinton, 60, of Montclair and Derrick Ellis, 53, of East Orange barricaded themselves inside a Hilton hotel room to allegedly start a fire sometime around 5 this morning.
Upon arrival, police forced their way into the room to find a broken window and burning toiler paper.
Both men were taken into custody and are being held on a $50,000 bail.
