Englewood Man Arrested in Connection to Murder

Bergen County officials announced the arrests of Jamal Robinson, 44, of Englewood on charges of Murder, Felony Murder, and Robbery; and Dejuan Stokes, 23, of Randallstown, Maryland on charges of Murder, Attempted Murder and Possession Of A Weapon For An Unlawful Purpose.

They also announced charges against Dwayne Redd, Jr., 23, of Baltimore, Maryland, for Murder, Attempted Murder and Possession Of A Weapon For An Unlawful Purpose.

On Saturday, June 20, at approximately 1:11 a.m., the Englewood Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the vicinity of the intersection of 2nd Street and 4th Street.

According to police, responding officers found multiple individuals in the roadway who had attended a gathering at a residence on 2nd Street.

Officers also found two gunshot victims lying in the roadway: 29-year-old Alex Glover of Englewood and 43-year-old Douglas Perry of Newark. Both victims were transported to area hospitals. Perry succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased, and Glover was later released from the hospital.

Multiple shell casings were located at the scene of the shooting, and multiple vehicles and a residence were struck with projectiles.

As a result of an investigation, detectives identified Stokes, Redd, Jr. and Robinson as suspects in the shooting.

Stokes and Robinson were arrested on July 24, but Redd, Jr. remains at large.
