An altercation between two women in Elizabeth left a Roselle Park woman stabbed in the neck.
Police responded to the area of West Grand Street and Broad Street around 7:13 p.m. where they arrested a 56-year-old Elizabeth woman who was seen crossing the street with a knife in her hand.
Upon further investigation, police found the victim, described as a 49-year-old Roselle Park woman, who had been stabbed in the neck.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark with serious injuries.
An investigation is underway into the motive for the stabbing.
