A man robbed at gunpoint for a slingshot motorcycle has police in Elizabeth investigating.
According to authorities, officers responded to the 900 block of Madison Avenue Tuesday night for a report of an armed robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, police met with the victim who stated that shortly before their arrival, two unidentified black males approached armed with a gun and asked the victim if he was a law enforcement officer.
Authorities said the suspects then mounted the victim's motorcycle and sped away from the scene.
There were no immediate reports of physical injuries, according to police.
Update: The motorcycle was reportedly recovered today in Newark.
