A 19-year-old Elizabeth suspect was arrested after he reportedly broke into as many as 10 cars in Union.
According to police, at approximately 8 a.m. a witness at the Union train station alerted police that a person was seen breaking into vehicles.
Upon arrival, police spotted the 19-year-old Elizabeth resident fleeing the scene near the Morris Avenue area.
Police said the suspect broke into as many as 10 cars by smashing the vehicles' windows with a chisel.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
