Police are searching for two armed men who robbed a 7-Eleven store on Elizabeth early this morning.
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the 7-11 convenience store, located at 328 Elizabeth Avenue, at approximately 6:22 a.m. today.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to store employees who stated that two males - with their faces covered - entered the store, displayed handguns and demanded money from the register.
The first suspect was described as a slim black male, approx. 5’4”, wearing dark clothing. The second suspect was described as a slim black male, approx. 5’7”, and wearing dark clothing as well.
The employees turned over $250.00 from the register, and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
Detectives from the Elizabeth Police Dept. Detective Bureau responded and an investigation is underway.
