Police in Elizabeth are investigating a car crash that had officers temporarily closed a city block Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. where police rushed to the vicinity of Broad and West Grand streets after receiving reports of a collision with injuries.
Units arrived at the scene and found two badly damaged vehicles crashed at that location.
Police say the impact of the collision had one of the cars lose control and slam into a utility pole.
The crash left a block and a half debris field where police closed off the area for the cleanup.
There were no severe injuries reported.
