Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with locating Josue Roman, 29, of Elizabeth, who is wanted for questioning about a shooting on January 25, 2024.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said police responded to St. Michael’s Medical Center on Central Avenue, which is where the victim was taken by Roman, who left in a silver Kia Forte.
Officials said the victim was walking in the area at approximately 2:15 a.m. when he was approached by an unknown male wearing dark clothing.
According to officials, moments later, he heard a loud bang, felt his leg, and realized he had been shot.
Roman, a white male, is 5’11’’, weighs 150 pounds, and has brown eyes, officials stated.
