Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which one man was shot and killed and four others were injured following an altercation in Lindenhurst early this morning.
According to police, an altercation started inside and continued outside 105 Grados, located at 105 Sunrise Highway, at approximately 3:20 a.m.
Police say during the fight, two men were shot, and three men were stabbed.
Police identified one of the shooting victims as.
Mr. Herminio Torres, 25, of Elizabeth.
Lindenhurst Fire Department rushed Torres to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police said the second shooting victim, a 26-year-old self-transported to an area hospital and was subsequently transported to another hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, an a 23-year-old man was stabbed and transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Two other men who were stabbed, ages 28 and 35, were transported to local hospitals where they were treated and released.
