Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari has identified the 44-year-old Elizabeth driver of the commuter bus that struck and killed the 11-year-old boy this morning.
According to authorities, Raul Delatorre-Galaza, 44, of Elizabeth, has been charged with causing a death while driving with a suspended license.
He is being held at Hudson County jail in Kearny on $50,000 bail.
Officials added that Delatorre-Galaza has had multiple license suspensions in the past.
The crash remains under active investigation.
