Elizabeth Man Among Four Indicted in Union County Robbery Spree

Four men accused of committing a series of robberies around Union County last year were indicted, according to officials.

According to authorities, the men - generally masked - entered businesses (service station and convenience stores) and would steal cash and whatever else they could grab.

A total of nine businesses in Mountainside, Rahway, Scotch Plains, Union Township and Westfield were robbed by the men in a time frame of twelve days (beginning on Sept. 10, 2015).

The men were identified as:

Sean Bower, 28, of Watchung

Michael Ivancich, 24, of Berkeley Heights,

Evan Manganiello, 27, of Mountainside

Matthew Bowen, 27, of Elizabeth

All four men were charged with multiple counts of robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Bower, Manganiello and Bowen were also charged with burglary. In addition, Bower was charged with credit card theft.

Bowen, Ivancich and Manganiello are each being held at the Union County jail on $500,000 bail, and Bower is being held on $200,000.
