A 19-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested after he allegedly made fraudulent charges to a Paypal account of a local business owner in Roselle Park.
Roselle Park Police Detective John Deegan conducted a follow up investigation on Dec. 22nd, involving a local business owner who had reported fraudulent charges on his pay pal account where someone had purchase various items through the mail that were unauthorized.
The information led officers to a residence on Jefferson Ave. in Elizabeth where a search warrant was executed that ultimately led to the discovery of numerous packages containing items that were purchased through fraudulent means.
Subsequent to the investigation, Andrew D. Garcia, 19, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property 3rd degree.
He was processed, charged and lodged into the Union County Jail on $15,000 bail.
