Firefighters in Elizabeth extinguished a fast-moving fire that ignited inside a house in the city Monday night.
Fire broke out inside a two and a half story house located in the 600 block of Magnolia Avenue shortly before 12:40 a.m.
Officials say firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building.
Crews were able to make their way inside the home, where a search for trapped or injured occupants came back negative.
The fire was placed under control in under an hour with the cause under investigation.
