A fast moving fire that ignited inside a house in Elizabeth has authorities investigating the cause.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at 102 Westfield Avenue shortly before 4:30 a.m. where arriving crews observed thick smoke and fire coming from the two and a half story house according to reports.
Crews extinguished the fire in under an hour leaving about six people displaced.
A search of the house had no trapped or injured occupants.
The American Red Cross provided temporary shelter for the residence.
