Authorities in Elizabeth are currently conducting investigations into two separate overnight stabbing incidents. The motives behind these attacks are under scrutiny.
The first incident brought police to the 400 block of Franklin Street, where an injured male was reported shortly before 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with several non-life-threatening slash wounds. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.
Investigators are actively pursuing leads to determine the motive behind this stabbing.
In the second incident, police responded to reports of a person stabbed in the 200 block of South Street around 11:45 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement found an unidentified individual with a stab wound to their abdomen.
Medical personnel provided immediate treatment, after which the victim was transferred to a medical center.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
Investigations into both stabbings remain ongoing.
