An East Orange woman admitted performing a fatal penis enlargement procedure that killed a 22-year-old man.
In May 2011, Kasia Rivera admitted injecting silicone into Julian Street's penis when he visited her Glenwood Avenue home. According to authorities, the injection shot directly into Street's bloodstream causing his organs to shut down leading to his death.
Street's cause of death was a silicone embolism, initiating the homicide, authorities said.
Prosecutors agreed to a recommended five years in prison of which she must serve slightly more than four years before becoming eligible for parole. Rivera could also be deported to Jamaica as a result of her guilty plea to reckless manslaughter, added Superior Court Judge Robert Gardner.
During the hearing, judge addressed the accusations that Rivera was involved in attempting to bribe at least three jurors.she claimed a friend acted on his own and she had not influences or ever asked him to do such thing.
Rivera was found guilty in to have attempted to improperly influence the potential jury. Judge ordered her bail be revoked and remanded her to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
Her sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 19.
