Police in East Orange are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Friday night, leaving one person injured.
The incident took place in the vicinity of 272 Lincoln Street, where police were called before 9 p.m. after reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified individual with bullet wounds to their leg.
The victim was promptly transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
The suspect involved in the shooting fled the scene and remains at large.
Authorities are actively investigating the motive behind the incident and are working to apprehend the suspect.
