Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. stated that Sellers is wanted for questioning in connection with a burglary that occurred between Monday, January 20, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

A victim’s handgun was stolen from a residence in the area of Hunterdon Street near West Bigelow Street during the two days that the victim was away from home, according to Newark officials.

ECPO authorities said that Mr. Sellers, an acquaintance of the victim, was aware that the victim owned a firearm and a ballistics vest, which were both stolen from the residence.

Sellers was also aware that the residence was unoccupied during the victim’s absence, Newark officials say.

According to Newark officials, the victim’s power was shut off from an electrical panel inside the residence, disabling the victim’s surveillance cameras.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking Sellers for questioning, ECPO officials stated. He is described as 5’11” tall, 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
