Firefighters in East Orange made fast work out of a raging early morning for that ripped through the first floor of a building Tuesday morning.
According to officials, fire ignited inside an apartment of a multi-family brick building located at 91 Halsted Street, just before 7 a.m., where firefighters arrived to find heavy flames extending from the windows of the structure.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze from the exterior then make their way inside the building and take control of the fire in under 30 minutes.
A search of the building revealed no trapped on injured occupants.
An arson investigation team was brought to the scene to assist in the investigation.
