The East Orange Jr. Jaguars is a non-profit organization providing after-school instructional football and cheer programs, academic tutoring and mentoring for the youth of the city of East Orange and surrounding areas.
Their main objective is to assist in the educational and personal development of inner-city young boys and girls by providing an after-school program to help combat the rise of inner-city gangs that our youth are confronted with on a daily basis.
Officials are happy to announce that our Unlimited and JV football teams have qualified to participate in the Pop Warner 60th Annual Super Bowl, and three of our Cheer Teams (Varsity, Pee Wee & Jr. Pee Wee POM) have qualified to participate at the Pop Warner National Cheer & Dance Championships in Disney World, Orlando, Florida.
Total 82 participants with an estimation $73,000 for Disney lodging and travel to Orlando Florida.
In effort to assist their parents with costs of this opportunity we've been fundraising for the past few weeks but only accumulated $8,000.
All donations received will benefit the five teams that are traveling to the National competition this weekend Dec 3, 2016.
"As an organization We have worked diligently to provide our youth with the skills, and confidence to achieve ALL that they dream of and we are now calling on the community to assist us" officials said.
