One person was transported to University Hospital in Newark after a car crash left them with non-life threatening injuries this morning.
Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard at State Street just before 4 a.m. where they found two vehicles involved in a crash with one person trapped.
Univesity Hospital rescue and Newark firefighters were able to extricate the victim then release them to EMS who transported the victim to the hospital.
There were no other serious injuries immediately reported.
The Newark Police Department will investigate the cause of the crash.
