A raging 3-alarm fire that ignited inside a house in East Orange has firefighters on the scene at this time.
The fire broke out at around 5 a.m. inside a house that's located in the 60's block of Midland Avenue sending dozens of firefighters to the scene where, upon their arrive, they observed the house heavily engulfed in flames.
Crews worked rapidly to prevent fire from extending to a next door residence but were not successful. A portion of the main fire building began to collapse.
While more than a dozen residents were able to escape the blaze, there are reports of at least one person who is unaccounted for.
Firefighters have mutual assistance from several municipalities.
The blaze had not been placed under control as of 6 a.m.
There is a search underway for injured and trapped occupants.
