Early-Morning Shooting in Red Bank Leaves Man Injured

Authorities are actively investigating an overnight shooting in Red Bank that left a 34-year-old Long Branch man injured, according to information released by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.JamaicanThe incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.

At approximately 1:48 a.m., officers from the Red Bank Police Department responded to St. Mary’s Place, near Shrewsbury Avenue, following reports of gunfire.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered three shell casings, but no immediate victims.

Shortly afterward, law enforcement officials were informed that a man had been admitted to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper leg.

The victim’s condition has not been disclosed.

The investigation is being led by members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Red Bank Police Department.

Authorities have not yet disclosed details about potential suspects or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Officials are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
