Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred on the border of Paterson and Clifton early Saturday morning.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of the incident, which occurred around 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Crooks and Lakeview Avenue.
Clifton Police responded to reports of shots fired and, upon arrival, discovered evidence confirming that a shooting had taken place.
While officials have not yet confirmed whether there were any injuries at the scene, it has been reported that a male suspect fled the area and is currently at large.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the investigation is described as active and ongoing.
Passaic County authorities are continuing to gather evidence and are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist with the case.
